Visitor center grand opening set

MYRTLE CREEK – The City of Myrtle Creek will hold a grand opening for the Visitor Center Saturday,
November 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with refreshments available. The public is invited to come and take a look at the new center located on Main Street between Tommy’s All American Burger Company and Village Realty.

The center was scheduled to open back in the early summer of this year but due to unforeseen complications the opening was delayed. The plan is to have the visitor center open one day a week to start with along with being open during downtown events. The center will be staffed by volunteers from the Myrtle Creek ~Tri City Area Chamber of Commerce, the Friends of the Myrtle Creek Library, the Myrtle Creek Lions, Main Street Myrtle Creek Association and others.
