TILLER – On Friday afternoon, September 26, Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies were notified of a possible missing person in the Tiller area. The deputies began a search in the early evening for 18-year-old Kayleigh Ann Prukop. She is 5’6″, 135 lbs, with red hair and hazel eyes. She was last known to be wearing a gray shirt and black leggings. Prukop has two prosthetic legs, several missing fingers, and a cleft palate. She speaks with a heavy lisp and is reported to be developmentally delayed, cognitively operating at a pre-teen level. She left her residence on South Umpqua Road on foot at approximately 2 p.m., accompanied by a small white dog. She was originally presumed to have been walking to a friend’s house on Crume Ranch Lane in Tiller. Deputies continue their search on Saturday for Prukop. Deputies believe it is probable that Prukop either met up with someone or accepted a ride; however, all possibilities are being investigated.
