Longtime Mayor of Riddle Bill Duckett, who recently resigned from the post, was honored on Saturday, October 25, with a retirement party culminating his 30+ years as Mayor. Several people were on hand to give Duckett well wishes including all three Douglas County Commissioners; Tom Kress, Chris Boice and Tim Freeman.

Freeman spoke on behalf of the Commissioners and presented Duckett with one of their Challenge Coins. Newly appointed Mayor Aaron Christensen (RIGHT) presented Duckett (LEFT) with a plaque denoting his service to the city of Riddle for over three decades. Riddle City Manager Kathy Wilson (CENTER) looks on. Wilson also spoke about her time with the city and how Duckett was a part of that. Others in attendance spoke about how Duckett had been a part of their lives over the last 30 years and how much they were going to miss that but also how they were looking forward to new relationships with the new leadership.
